Event Announcement: InterRAI Canada July 22 & 23, 2025
InterRAI Canada will hold its annual meeting at Parkwood Hospital on July 22 and 23rd 2025.
The first day of the meeting will be dedicated to our shared challenge of better supporting an aging population, and in a particular, how to address the root and upstream causes of prolonged hospital stays and the resulting overcrowding of hospitals and emergency departments. Canadian and local experts in health services research will present on how standardized clinical information systems can support data-driven, proactive, and person-centered solutions to achieve better outcomes for older adults and the system.
InterRAI is an international not-for-profit scientific organization involving over 150 clinicians and scientists in over 40 countries (www.interRAI.org). There are four interRAI fellows based in London, including Drs. George Heckman and Jacobi Elliott based at Parkwood Hospital and affiliated with the Lawson Institute, and Drs. Danielle Fearon (Arthur Labatt School of Nursing) and Shannon Stewart (Faculty of Education) at Western University.
