The Gait and Brain Lab

The Gait & Brain Lab’s mission is to integrate “Mobility and Cognition” as a new line of research to better understand and treat the epidemic of insidious disability in older people.

The Cognitive Clinical Trials Group

We conduct clinical research in dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Since being founded in 1992, the Cognitive Clinical Trials group has grown to become one of Canada's largest sites for conducting clinical research and drug trials related to dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Led by Dr. Michael Borrie, the group consists of Geriatricians, Cognitive Neurologists, a Cognitive Neuropsychologist and clinical research coordinators. Some of the group's research capabilities include MRI (1.5T, 3.0T, 7.0T, FMRI, MR Spectroscopy), PET, CT, Lumbar Puncture, Cyclotron, and IV/SQ therapies.
