Selection Committee

At the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, a selection committee is formally established to evaluate candidates and make recommendations to the Dean for:

  • Academic leadership roles such as Decanal positions and Recruitment of Department Chairs
  • Research Chairs (e.g., endowed chairs, CRC-like positions (in conjunction with Schulich Research office)
  • Distinguished or strategic appointments

Selection Committee Coordinators serve as a resource to the Dean, Chairs, Co‑Chairs, Departmental Managers, and Search Committee members by providing support, information, and guidance to stakeholders, including applicants and external reviewers, on search and selection committee policies and procedures.

  • Recruitment of Department Chairs and Chair/Department Heads;
  • Decanal positions; and
  • Endowed/Research Chairs (in conjunction with Schulich Research office)
