We provide operational support, from recruitment to retirement, for all faculty appointments and related matters at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
What we do
Our team is the first point of contact for all 22 Schulich Medicine & Dentistry clinical and basic science departments on policies and procedures and for a variety of topics in the academic faculty lifecycle such as: part-time and full-time faculty appointments, promotions, tenure and continuing appointments, sabbaticals, leaves, stipends and other payments, terminations and retirements, etc.

- Procedures for Affiliated Institute Scientists
What we manage
We are responsible for the coordination of the Basic Science and Clinical Academic promotions processes applying the UWOFA Collective Agreement and the Conditions of Appointment for Physicians.
Schulich Faculty Affairs also manages Selection Committee searches to recruit for Chair, Director, Decanal, Endowed Chair and Canada Research Chair positions.
Further, we interact with and liaise between Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, our Departments/Units and central Western University departments on faculty related matters.
