Journal Club
Journal Club is a monthly opportunity for Emergency Medicine Faculty and Residents to review and critically appraise key publications of importance to the practice of Emergency Medicine in Canada. CCFP-EM and FRCPC residents, with assistance from the research team, critically appraise selected articles as per standard format and present their analyses to the group. In addition to journal club, we have "Bottom lines" sessions which are organized by our chief residents and supported by the research team. These comprise of a collection of practice changing papers, both historical and recent. Each resident is tasked with summarizing 1-2 articles both written and orally, and then these are shared with the group.
