Translational Head and Neck Cancer Research Group
Supported by the Gerald C. Baines Centre for Translational Cancer Research where clinical trials are conducted, the research laboratory and its team of researchers are located on the 4th floor of the London Regional Cancer Centre.
The Translational Head & Neck Research group is led by its Director, surgeon Dr. Anthony Nichols. Dr. Nichols is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University and Chair/Chief of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and Head & Neck Disease Site Team at the London Regional Cancer Program.
The group is supported by scientists Drs. John Barrett and Joe Mymryk, and Radiation Oncologist's, Dr. David Palma and Medical Oncologist Dr. Eric Winquist. Surgeons on Dr. Nichols' team include Drs. Kevin Fung, Adrian Mendez, Danielle MacNeil and John Yoo.
Funding sources include the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), London Health Sciences Foundation and the Wolfe Surgical Research Professorship in the Biology of Head and Neck Cancers.
