New paper on non-acute inpatients & resident education

We’re excited to announce that the article, “Resigned professionalism? Non-acute inpatients and resident education”, was just published by the journal Advances in Health Sciences Education.

The paper, which was principally authored by Dr. Meredith Vanstone, former CERI Research Assistant and currently Assistant Professor, Department of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Centre for Health Economics and Policy, McMaster University, with co-authors, Drs. Chris Watling, Mark Goldszmidt, Charles Weijer, and. Lorelei Lingard, explores residents’ and attending physicians’ perceptions of caring of non-acute inpatients, including their potential educational value.

Their research was internally funded with a Faculty Support for Research in Education (FSRE) grant from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry awarded to Dr. Weijer, Department of Medicine.
