Rae Dorion: Celebrating the Future

Dr. Rae Dorion completed his dental education at Western University in 1994. He served as the Assistant Director for Clinical Affairs from September 2019 until August 31, 2022. Previous to that, he was an adjunct faculty member and he remained as an adjunct faculty member until this past December, 2023.
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Dorion was an advanced life-support paramedic with the City of Edmonton and the Alberta Life Flight. He demonstrated excellent leadership during the Pandemic while utilizing his training as a paramedic. His amazing problem-solving skills helped respond to challenges and he was an integral part of our team that kept Schulich Dentistry and our Clinics operating.
Dr. Dorion was an enthusiastic clinical instructor. His love for teaching and sharing his knowledge was evident to our students, faculty and patients. He was chosen as the Honorary Class President by the Class of 2021 and was always in "his happy place" when he was in the clinic.
While Dr. Dorion is stepping away from Schulich for now, he will always be a part of our Schulich Family and we hope he will return to join us in the future.
