Welcome to Schulich Dentistry. We are:

  • Educators: Leaders in basic sciences, clinicians ethics, and public health who teach the next generation of dentists. 
  • Researchers:  Scientists on the cutting edge of transitional research for the betterment of oral and systemic health.
  • Community Caregivers: Working together with our community to bring comprehensive and continuing oral health care to those who need it most.

The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University is a public, urban medical and dental school to serve the people of Southwestern Ontario. The School's mission is to provide medical and dental pre-and post-doctoral education programs.

At Schulich Dentistry, we prepare qualified graduates to provide dental care as well as generate knowledge through clinical research, basic science research and other scholarly activity. We also provide oral health care to the public through our on-site clinics and our community outreach programs, specifically, Dental Outreach Community Service (DOCS) and Oral Health, Total Health.

The academic programs we offer include:

Undergraduate Professional

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) - four year program

Graduate Programs

Orthodontics - three year program, accepts three students per year

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) - six year program, accepts one student per year 

The OMFS program is a combined Masters of Science, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and M.D. program. Upon completion, students will graduate with their MSc., M.D., and eligibility to write the exam for specialty practice in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
