Dr. Hamza Zidan

Biography 

Dr. Hamza Zidan received his MD from The University of Jordan in Amman – Jordan where he also finished his training in Anesthesia and Intensive care in Jordan University Hospital and received Higher specialization in anesthesia and intensive care.

Dr. Zidan has been clinical fellow in the Anesthesia and perioperative medicine at Western University since 2019 and completed Cardiac anesthesia 2019-2020, Thoracic and vascular anesthesia 2020-2021, and Advanced clinical anesthesia 2021-2022.

Dr. Zidan is currently the Perioperative Echocardiography and Ultrasound (PErioperative Echocardiography & UltRaSonography - PEERS) Program Director at the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine, Western University.

Dr. Zidan's current research is as a co-investigator in QORVATS Study: A randomized controlled, triple blinded study to compare the Quality of Recovery (QoR40) between intercostal block and a combination of intercostal nerve block with serratus plane catheter for patients undergoing VATS procedures
