Neuroanesthesia Crisis Manual

Dr. Angela Builes, Anesthesiology Fellow, has recently published “Neuroanesthesia Crisis Manual”.  The manual is available as a free, downloadable e-book on Scholarship at Western in English and in Spanish.

The purpose of this crisis manual is to be a resource for anesthesiologists and to prepare them for stressful situations that may arise during neurosurgical procedures. It is meant to be a reference only and a cognitive aid in emergency situations. It is NOT a guideline or a protocol that anesthesiologists are obligated to follow. This manual may provide a vehicle for input and practical strategies when facing critical events with neurosurgical patients. The manual was edited by Miguel Arango and Luis Fernando Botero.

Have you used this manual? Dr. Builes would appreciate your feedback. Please see the following survey: https://tinyurl.com/y76vs7lv
