Airway Research

Dr. Licskai’s clinical interests are focused on asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and complex airways disease. 

His research and health system innovation program includes evaluating the impact of air quality on health, advancing integrated disease management models of care, building high performing health teams, and creating mHealth solutions that support patient activated collaborative self-management.

The overall objective of his team’s work is to improve patient health outcomes and clinician experience while improving health system performance.

In 2020, he is focused on the spread and scale of the Best Care© program for chronic disease management in primary care (COPD) and creating an iterative development and implementation plan for breathe© a patient collaborative self-management application for asthma and COPD.
