Kathryn Taberner
Chief Resident PGY - 5Biography: Kathryn Taberner is currently completing her respirology fellowship at Western University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. She went on to complete medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, which was followed by Internal Medicine residency training at Western University. Kathryn’s interests in Respirology include interventional pulmonology and medical education. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, racquet sports, and managing her fantasy football teams.

Allan Middleton
PGY - 5Biography: Allan Middleton is a respirology fellow at Western University. He earned undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology and Physician Assistant (PA) studies from McMaster University. After practicing as a community-based PA, he completed medical school and internal medicine training at NOSM University in Sudbury, Ontario. His current respirology interests include interventional pulmonology, critical care, and community-focused general respirology. Outside of medicine, Allan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children

Abrar Alharbi
PGY - 5Biography: Abrar Alharbi is a respirology fellow at Western University. She earned her medical degree from Taibah University and completed internal medicine training at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. She also hold a second board certification in internal medicine from Western University. Her current interest in respirology is interventional pulmonology. Outside of medicine, Abrar enjoy crocheting, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Jane Ding
PGY - 4Biography: Jane Ding is a current Respirology fellow at Western University. She grew up in Ottawa and completed a bachelor's degree in evolutionary biology at McGill University. She completed medical school as well an Internal Medicine residency at Western University. Within Respirology, Jane has a wide range of interests, including airway disease and interstitial lung disease. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading, gaming, and trying outlandish ice cream flavours.

Karen Cholmondeley
PGY - 5Biography: Karen Cholmondeley is currently completing her Respirology Fellowship at Western University. She also completed medical school at Western University before heading east to Dalhousie for Internal Medicine residency training. Karen’s interests within Respirology are wide ranging but include airway disease, pulmonary rehabilitation and long term mechanical ventilation. In her spare time Karen enjoys going for brunch, hiking any kind of coastal or forest trail and spending time with friends!
