Research Interest

  • Our lab is interested in using exogenous surfactant as a delivery tool to administer pulmonary therapeutics
  • We also investigate the mechanisms by which lung injury develops, specifically the effects of sex/gender, exercise status, and growth restriction.
  • Our third interest is the biophysical mechanisms by which pulmonary surfactant reduces surface tension.
  • Key words: Surfactant, Pulmonary drug delivery, Acute lung Injury, Pulmonary inflammation, ARDS, surface tension.
