Leaders in Eye Care

Today, the Ivey Eye Institute continues a leadership role in many areas, including foldable implant technology, drug therapy research, orbital reconstruction and the management of complex ocular disorders on an out-patient basis.

The specialists at the Ivey Eye Institute are an integral part of the medical and surgical team, treating diseases and conditions of the eye for adults and children, and helping to diagnose general medical disorders.

The Ivey Eye Institute consultants conduct a wide range of practice centred on cataract and anterior segment surgery, children's eye disease, orbital and ocular plastics, retinal, vitreous, external eye diseases and glaucoma.

The Ivey Eye Institute is affiliated with Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. The Department of Ophthalmology at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University is located in the Institute. The mission of the Ivey Eye Institute is to provide eye care for the community, to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in medicine, and to promote research in diagnosing and treating eye diseases.
