The Aga Khan University’s Virtual Internship Programme (AKU-VIP) provides you with a one-of-a-kind virtual placement to build valuable skills and enhance your cross-cultural competencies through work opportunities with diverse teams in many countries.

- Networking and collaboration across a diverse set of thematic areas (health, education, civil society, pluralism, climate change, culture, communications, etc.) and multiple countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Syria, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Portugal, Switzerland, UK, and Canada
- Cross-cultural research collaboration and social innovation

- Logistic, technical, and programmatic support for all interns throughout their internships
Students from your institution are eligible for a reduced programme fee of 800 USD for the 12-week placement. We are open to working with our partner institutions who might want to provide funding or scholarships for their students participating in an AKU internship.
- Reduced programme fee for students: US $800 instead of the full fee of US $1,200
