Students heading to Kenya with the Global MINDS Summer Institute

Congratulations to Michelle Quaye and Gunjan Mhapankar, Medicine Class of 2020, on being chosen as two of the 10 Western University students taking part in the first ever Global MINDS Summer Institute in Machakos Town, Kenya.

Quaye, Mhanpankar and their peers will be spending three weeks working with a team of students and faculty from Africa to evaluate and implement new solutions for mental disorders and related issues. Dr. Arlene McDougall, Psychiatry and Epidemiology and Biostatistics, who oversees the Global MINDS program, will join the students for the inaugural Institute.
