Sameer Elsayed

Biography: Dr. Elsayed is Professor of Medicine, (Infectious Diseases), Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (Microbiology), and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. He is the current Chair, Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Western University, and Head, Division of Infectious Diseases, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London. He hold degrees in Medicine (M.D., Queen's University at Kingston), Public Health-Epidemiology (MPH, Harvard University), Healthcare Quality (MSc, Queen’s University at Kingston), and Biology (BSc., Western University). He is certified in Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, and Medical Microbiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Elsayed is the Interim Director of the Adult Infectious Diseases Residency Program at Western University. Dr. Elsayed also serves as Medical Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at London Health Sciences Centre, a Medical Microbiologist at London Health Sciences Centre, and an Associate Scientist at Lawson Research Institute.
