Research

The Division is involved in a number of different clinical, translational and basic research activities and works in close collaboration with other groups within the University, as well as renowned national and international groups and institutions.

Its members' research activities are funded by prestigious agencies such as the Canadian Blood Services, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the National Cancer Institute of Canada, the National Cancer Institute (US) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, among others. Division members regularly present their results at major national and international meetings.

Research interests include, among others:

  • Venous Thrombosis
  • Clinical trials in lymphoma, leukemia and multiple myeloma
  • Transfusion medicine
  • Clinical laboratory hematology including flow cytometry
  • Hemophilia and related disorders
  • Health Outcomes and effectiveness
