Dr. Margaret Taabazuing is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics, Western University.  She graduated from The Higher Institute of Medical Sciences, Havana, Cuba. She completed her residency and Geriatric Medicine training in the United States, at Woodhull Medical Center and at William Beaumont Hospital. In 2018, she completed a Master’s degree in Health Evaluation from the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Margaret Taabazuing is an Associate Professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. Dr. Taabazuing’s clinical interest is in quality improvement initiatives and readmissions in acute care.

At the local level, she is the Geriatric physician Lead for the Acute Care of the Elderly Clinical Teaching Unit (ACE-CTU) at Victoria Hospital. She provides clinical leadership and collaborates with other Physician Clinical Leads and Nursing Leadership in the Department of Medicine.

 She is a core member of the Center for Quality Innovation and Safety (CQuInS). Dr. Taabazuing has collaborated in multiple research projects in Quality Improvement.

At the National level, Dr. Taabazuing was the Lead physician for the Mobilization of Venerable Elderly in Ontario (MOVE-ON) In this role she worked with colleagues from other Academic Hospitals with the aim to minimize hospital associated functional decline in the elderly.
