Welcome to new faculty & staff

Schulich Dentistry welcomes Dr. Georgia Nikoloudaki, Guangxin Xing and Paul Buttery.

newfacstaff.jpg Dr. Georgia Nikoloudaki joins Schulich Dentistry as an Assistant Professor, Endodontics.

Dr. Nikoloudaki obtained her DDS and MSc in Dentistry with a specialization in Endodontics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. She then pursued her PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, where her research focused on wound healing mechanisms in the oral cavity. She has also obtained the FRCD(C) for Endodontics in Canada.

Since 2015, she has been an adjunct professor and pre-clinical instructor at Schulich Dentistry. Dr. Nikoloudaki brings her clinical expertise, teaching experience, as well as her intensive research background to her new appointment. She strives to contribute to high-quality research in the field of dentistry and to continue building on the current didactic and clinical Endodontics curriculum at the School. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Nikoloudaki aims to not only share knowledge with her students but also generate new knowledge for the advancement of her field.

newfacstaff2.jpg Paul Buttery joins Schulich Dentistry in the role of Manager, Clinics Operations.

He will be involved as a member of the Dentistry leadership team, and be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Dental Clinics. Buttery will provide operational leadership to the team and provide guidance while partnering on the development of new initiatives, priorities, clinic policies and procedures while ensuring appropriate controls are in place.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Diploma in Environmental Assessment. Most recently, he was the Environmental Services Supervisor with the County of Lambton.  

newfacstaff3.jpg Guangxin Xing has joined our Dental Supply team as a Stores Assistant.

Reporting to Andrew Mooser, Facilities and Stores Supervisor, and working closely with the Dental Supply team, he will support the daily operations of Dock 15 as well as shipping and receiving logistics for the school.

Xing completed his PhD in Biochemistry at Peking Union Medical College and has served as a Research Technician in the Department of Biochemistry since 2004. Xing’s experience in laboratory management, including procurement, inventory management and equipment support, along with his many years of experience working with students, will serve him well as he joins the Dental Supply team.
