Oct 13, 2016 - Schulich Dentistry Annual Research Day

The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry will host the Schulich Dentistry Annual Research Day on Thursday, October 13, 2016. The day will feature student poster presentations and the 15th John T. Hamilton Distinguished Lecture to be delivered by Jocelyne S. Feine, DDS, HDR.  Dr. Feine is a Professor in the Oral Health and Society Division, Faculty of Dentistry and also an Associate Member, Dept. of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health, and Dept. of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University.

Dr. Feine is a recognized world leader in the assessment of therapies for chronic orofacial conditions, particularly pain and tooth loss. Her national and international studies emphasize the quality of life and patient-based outcomes most relevant for palliative therapeutic goals. From randomized clinical trials to technology assessment, knowledge transfer and health care management, her work covers the continuum of discovery to action. Feine was honoured with IADR’s Distinguished Service Award in 2013, and named the inaugural editor of JDR Clinical & Translational Research in 2015. She has published widely in high quality research and clinical journals.

Dr. Feine's presentation is entitled: "Health Research - From Particles to Policy."
