New Member Added to the Ranks

Today, we welcome Jeremy P. Burton, BSc. MSc. PhD. (Otago), dBA as a member of the Centre for Translational Cancer Research.

Dr. Burton is a scientist within the Division of Urology in the Department of Surgery and is cross appointed to the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. as an associate professor. He is also the Chair, Human Microbiome and Probiotics; Director, Canadian Centre for Human Microbiome and Probiotics and Scientist, Lawson Health Research Institute, St. Joseph's Hospital.

Dr. Burton's research interest include; how the microbiome influences urological conditions (kidney stones, cancer, infection and overactive bladder) and what impacts the microbiota, such as diet, pharmaceuticals, biomaterials, fermented food, probiotics, fecal transplant treatment and the use of antibiotics.
