Today, we welcome Mike Hallett, PhD. as a member of the Centre for Translational Cancer Research.

Dr. Mike Hallett joined Western University April 1 as a Professor & Western Research Chair - Bioinformatics, Department of Biochemistry.

Dr. Hallett was most recently a CRC Tier 1 Professor in the Department of Biology at Concordia University. Most of his career however was in the Departments of Computer Science and Biochemistry at McGill University where he also served as the Director for the Centre for Bioinformatics.

Dr. Hallett received his PhD in computer science at the University of Victoria and completed postdoc training at ETH Zurich University.

His research interest lie in markers of patient benefit from radiation therapy for in situ breast cancer. Causal networks underlying breast cancer subtype differentiation and systems approaches to the construction of probabilistic biomarkers panels.
