The BMSc
Advantage

Exploring advanced
studies

In your third year, you will explore more advanced study in one or more of the basic medical sciences.

Or you might be looking for an interdisciplinary approach to the study of disease and consider the Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences module. You can also combine your interests in computer and medical sciences through the Honors Specialization in Medical Health Informatics.

You can explore beyond a specific discipline by taking joint courses within modules including microbiology and immunology with pathology, the biochemistry of immunity and infection, medical biophysics and biochemistry.

Programs in One Health and Biochemistry and Cancer Biology apply a multidisciplinary approach to the study of complex systems and diseases and factors that influence health and disease.

During your third year laboratory course, you will have the opportunity to design and participate in experiments and in your fourth year, within the department-based Honors Specialization modules, you will work one-to-one with a faculty member on a supervised research project or continue to learn current molecular research techniques and research design in the interdisciplinary module.

Combined Degrees

You can attend the internationally renowned Ivey School of Business as part of the BMSc/HBA Program.

You will graduate in five years with two honors degrees, through this combined program.

You can also get involved with international exchange programs or undertake a paid internship offering valuable hands-on experience after your third year.
