Rachelle Li

BMSc Candidate

With a passion for music and science, Rachelle was thrilled to be able to combine a music minor with her BMSc degree. She feels certain that she’s headed toward a career in health care, but didn’t want to give up her advanced music studies as it’s an important part of her life.

Rachelle has a wide range of science interests and the Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences allowed her to study more than two basic medical science disciplines. She says her professors are one-of-a-kind, “They are supportive, encourage us to learn, want you to succeed and really make you want to come to class.”

Outside of the classroom, Rachelle has immersed herself in the Western University culture, joining the fencing team, the Orchestra, and the Canadian Asian International Students’ Association, while also supporting the undergraduate sciences case competition and working as a peer mentor for first year students.

Rachelle is having an extraordinary Western and BMSc experience thanks to the many opportunities available and her outstanding classes and professors.
