The Bachelor of Medical Sciences

The Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) program at Western University is offered jointly with the Faculty of Science and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

 

If you are interested in the BMSc program, your first step is to apply to the Medical Sciences First Entry or ESM on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre. www.ouac.on.ca

Once you have been accepted, you will spend your first two years focusing on foundational knowledge in the basic sciences (math, chemistry, biology and physics) and medical sciences courses (biochemistry, microbiology and immunology, epidemiology and biostatistics).

Admission to the BMSc program is assured in third year if you maintain an average of 80% on the 2000-level modular courses in your second year and at least 60% on each course.
