The Department would like to congratulate Dr. Valerie Schulz, who was recently honoured by the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) with the Award of Excellence for Palliative Care.
Dr. Schulz, who is also the director of the Department’s Palliative Medicine program, received her award at the OMA’s 2013 Annual General Meeting for the Palliative Medicine Section, on April 28th.
Dr. Josh Shadd, a palliative care physician practicing in London, Ontario (see photo), lead the nomination for Dr. Schulz, and was supported by a large number of his peers.
