Announcement: Dr. Tracey Crumley re-appointed Chair/Department Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

We are pleased to announce Dr. Tracey Crumley has been appointed for a second five-year term to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as Chair (Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry) and Department Head (London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St. Joseph’s Health Care London (St. Joseph’s)).
These positions are effective January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030 (Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry) and February 1, 2026 to January 31, 2031 (LHSC and St. Joseph’s).
Dr. Crumley earned her MD from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in 1996 and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology Residency at Western. She pursued a clinical year in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Magee-Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In 2003, Dr. Crumley was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry and as a consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at LHSC and St. Joseph’s. Currently, she holds the rank of Associate Professor and is located at LHSC’s Victoria Hospital.
Dr. Crumley has served on a number of professional association and administrative committees such as, Director of the Western University, Schulich Medicine Resident Training Program from 2010 to 2015; an internal and external reviewer of several Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada training programs; a member of the Appeals committee for residency training at Schulich; and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Finance Committee. As of December 31, 2025, she has completed a five-year term as Chair/Department Head of the department following her interim term of two and a half years.
Dr. Crumley is continuously recognized for her excellence in teaching and education. She was awarded the Schulich Medicine Hippocratic Council - Best Curriculum on Earth Award in 2013 and 2014; Schulich Excellence in Education - Educator Award (Graduate/Post Graduate) in 2014; the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Schulich Medicine Golden Forceps Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2016; and the Dean’s Award of Excellence in 2020.
Dr. Crumley looks forward to maintaining focus on the department’s learners, patients, research and community, as well as achieving wins in clinical care excellence, education excellence, vibrant culture and technologic advancements.
