Department of Surgery Research Mission:
- Foster excellence in surgical research through advocacy, education, and providing research infrastructure support
- Create an environment that cultivates and rewards research excellence, leadership and the translation of discoveries to patient care.
- Participate in the recruitment, mentoring and protection of surgeon and institute scientists to expand departmental research activities
- Establish the Department of Surgery as a Canadian leader and innovator in surgical research.
