Multiple choice exam for formative assessment of knowledge base, compared to Canadian cohort. Held annually.
National Observed Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE)
Case-based practical exam, typically consisting of 10 stations that test hands-on skills and knowledge within the practice scope of Neonatology and CanMeds roles. Held annually in April.
National Structured Oral Exam (SOE)
Case-based oral exam, testing knowledge and management skills. Held annually in January.
