GlobalSurg-COVIDSurg Week awarded the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest scientific collaboration
15,025 authors from across 116 countries collaborated on the GlobalSurg-COVIDSurg Week study, which followed all patients undergoing surgery in participating hospitals during one pre-determined week in October 2020, with the aims of determining the optimal timing of surgery following SARS-CoV-2 infection. Dr. Janet Martin of the MEDICI Centre is Canadian Lead of the study.
