    Dental students awarded summer studentships

Congratulations to Mohammad Parsanejad (DDS 2020) and Shawna Kim (DDS 2019), who were successful (along with 13 other DDS Students) in being awarded a 2017 Dentistry Summer Research Studentship.  Parsanejad and Kim will both work in the Hamilton Lab. Mohammad Parsanejad will work on a project entitled ‘Influence of nanometric topography on human gingival cell physiology’ and Shawna Kim will work on a project entitled 'Regulation of periostin-mediated fibronectin synthesis in gingival fibroblasts by ERK1/2'. The Dentistry Summer Student Research Program provides an opportunity for students enrolled in the DDS program to contribute to clinical and basic science research being performed in Schulich Dentistry. Each year, there are a limited number of Studentships awarded by competition. Learn more about Dentistry's Summer Research Program. (Read full entry)
