London Health Research Day

London Health Research Day (LHRD) is the city’s premier showcase of discovery and innovation, bringing together trainees and researchers from across London’s hospitals and academic institutes to share groundbreaking ideas, cutting-edge science, and emerging research shaping the future of medicine.
In 2026, this full-day event will take place on Wednesday, April 29, in the Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Western University.
Key dates for LHRD 2026:
- Abstract submissions deadline: Monday, March 2, 2026. Students and trainees should review “Rules and Regulations” to confirm their eligibility before submitting an abstract. Please note that, due to high interest in the event, participation as a poster or oral presenter will be determined through a lottery following the abstract submission deadline. Submit your abstract here.
- LHRD presenters confirmed: April 1, 2026. After determining poster and oral presenters through a lottery, organizers will notify everyone who submitted an abstract by April 1, 2026 to confirm the final list of oral and poster presenters for LHRD 2026.
- Sign up to attend LHRD as a guest by April 22, 2026. Even if you’re not presenting, you can still attend LHRD as a guest, to view presentations, hear the keynote lecture and participate in workshops. The full LHRD program will be available here by early-February 2026, and registration will open at that time.
London Health Research Day is presented in partnership with Western University's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and Faculty of Health Sciences, Lawson Research Institute of St. Joseph's Health Care London and London Health Sciences Centre Research Institute.
