Dr. Neville Suskin, MSc’00, Residency’95

Dr. Neville Suskin, MSc’00, Residency’95 – Recipient of the 2024 Terry Kavanagh Award and Lecture from the Canadian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation. A national leader in cardiac rehabilitation, Dr. Suskin has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to advancing evidence-based, province-wide cardiac rehab programs, data integration systems, and chronic disease management. As Medical Director at St. Joseph’s Health Care London and a professor at Western University, his pioneering work has shaped care delivery across Ontario and beyond, and continues to have a lasting impact on cardiovascular health in Canada.

Dr. Suzanne Degner, DDS’03 – Kelowna Chamber of Commerce’s Top 40, recognized for her work in the community both in her private practice, Love It Dental, where her warm leadership and patient-focused environment elevate the experience for patients and staff alike. Her contributions to the community include raising $30,000 for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association as well as medical-dental missions to Ecuador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Dr. Henry Orewa, MPH’21 – He is the fifth physician to join Daysland Medical Clinic and the sixth practising in the community. Dr. Orewa chose Daysland in part because it reminds him of his childhood growing up in a small agricultural community. “The close-knit relationships, great values and collaborative approach to community growth I found endeared me to Daysland,” he says.
