Update on anti-racism, equity, diversity and inclusion work
As you may know, during the past few months, members of the Schulich Medicine & Dentistry community have been engaged in conversations and learning sessions focused on anti-racism, equity, diversity and inclusion.In late September, 130 faculty, staff, students and residents attended a retreat. And in late October, students and residents from across our programs joined me for a town hall. These have been important sessions, and we are putting together a report that will share learnings, as well as recommendations on action for our School.
I want to ensure that we take our time in identifying next steps for Schulich Medicine & Dentistry and I am in the process of reviewing this report with the School’s leadership. It’s my hope that I will be able to share this report with you in the coming weeks as we build toward the future of our School.
