• Medical device to manage blood loss approved by Health Canada

    After a traumatic injury from an event such as a car crash or industrial accident, many patients die from blood loss before they ever enter the operating room. In order to improve survival, Asha Parekh, PhD, and Dr. Adam Power have used their ingenuity to develop a medical device that can keep blood flowing to the heart and the brain in a way that is fast, simple and safe.
