What's new in the Ivey Chair?
We are proud to be apart of the new Drug Safety Laboratory, which offers early diagnosis of drug hypersensitivity syndrome and screening for susceptible patients. Please click here for more information.
Upcoming Events...
Our 7th Annual Ivey Symposium, "What You Need to Know When You Treat Pregnant Women with Psychiatric Conditions" which took place on October 16th, 2012 was a very successful event with lots of positive feedback. Please keep an eye out for information regarding our 8th Annual Ivey Symposium which will take place in Fall 2013. Our theme is still to be determined...

The Ivey Consensus in Molecular and Clinical Toxicology
The Ivey Consensus statements are created by teams of experts to advise clinicians, scientists and the public in areas of uncertainty or controversy related to human toxicology.
In all cases these statements are externally reviewed and published in the peer review literature:

About Us
The tremendous advance in therapeutics has not been matched by development of similar knowledge of their safe use in patients. Just as concerning, increased environmental risks for human health have not been investigated systematically and require major investments. The Ivey Chair in Molecular Toxicology fosters research, education, and clinical practice in human toxicology by conducting original academic work and by bringing together scientists from all sites of UWO, as well as academic institutions around the world.
We currently offer a course under the department of Physiology and Pharmacology, focusing on human toxicology through case based learned. For more information on our course Human Toxicology 4660a, please click here.
Recent Email from one of our students...
Dear Dr. Koren,
I received an email last week regarding your book,"The Children of Neverland", that you awarded to those of us in PharmTox 4660a who received over 85% in your course... I was delighted to discover the lovely message that you wrote in the front cover of the book. I cannot convey to you how much this book means to me. .... I thoroughly enjoyed your course, and learned a lot from it which I have since applied to many of my other medical science courses. The passion that you possess for your area of study is quite evident, and I hold an infinite respect for your curious mind and ambitious spirit. Thus, in closing, please know that you have not only lifted my spirits with this book, but also inspired me to continue to strive for excellence in my studies and elsewhere. I look forward to the read!
