Students choose from three Honors Specialization modules:
The Honors Specialization in Microbiology & Immunology offers foundational and advanced courses in microbiology and immunology.
The Honors Specialization in Biochemistry of Infection and Immunity includes fundamental and advanced courses from microbiology and immunology as well as biochemistry. recognizing the importance of both fields.
The Honors Specialization in Microbiology & Immunology with Pathology allows a more comprehensive understanding of the pathogenesis of human diseases.
Students in Year 4 of each Honors Specialization module complete a research project/seminar course.
Students electing to pursue a nonhonors BMSc degree may register in the Specialization in Microbiology & Immunology. This module includes the microbiology and immunology courses of the Honors Specialization but does not include the research project/seminar course.
Students who wish to combine an interest in Microbiology & Immunology with another discipline may register in either a Major in Microbiology & Immunology, which includes a selection of advanced courses, or a Minor in Microbiology & Immunology. which offers students an introduction to the discipline.
