Welcome to the Biological Mass Spectrometry Laboratory

Understanding the proteome of humans is essential to the understanding of human biology and disease. Mass spectrometry allows for the detailed analysis of protein mass and covalent structure through a number of approaches. Capabilities include:

• Protein identification;
• Characterization of post-translational modifications;
• Protein profiling and quantitation;
• Protein folding by deuterium exchange;
• Non-covalent protein complexes.

Facility Details

The Biological Mass Spectrometry Laboratory offers a wide range of services on a fee-for-service basis. Our outstanding experts will run your samples as well as provide advice on sample preparation and data analysis. The BMSL is staffed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. We currently have the following mass spectrometers and HPLCs available for data collection:
