Congratulations to our dedicated staff, faculty and students on your achievements throughout the last four months.

Congratulations to:
Noor Jawaid, Class of 2015 on receiving the Harvey Club Prize for your history of medicine presentation on the corset.

Davy Tawdrous, third year clerk, on receiving the Ed Brecevic Award. He will be presented the award on June 13th at Academic Half Day.

Dr. Osman Tarabain and Dr. Leonard Cortese on receiving the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal.

Dr. Larry Jacobs who received the Hippo Council Teaching Award in Clinical Sciences, Windsor, recognizing an outstanding teacher in the clinical sciences (years three and four). This award is voted by Windsor fourth year students.

Professor Judy Bornais who will receive a 2013 Councils of Ontario University's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Anna Farias, Anatomy Learning Specialist, Windsor Program. Anna was one of the recipients to receive the 2013 CAME/ACÉM Certificate of Merit Award, which promotes medical education in Canadian medical schools and recognizes and reward faculty's commitment to medical education.

Dr. Frank DeMarco for receiving the Dr. Percy Demers Physican Excellence Award. Dr. Demarco has been a physician in Windsor for more than 30 years. He is a hospitialist - a specialist in the medical care of acutely ill hospitalized pateints, and also runs a family practice. He is recognized for his dedication as a physican and his outstanding leadership. The award was established in honour of Dr. Demers who was an extraordinarily gifted and compassionate healer, and a valued mentor and friend to many physicians, cardiac-caregivers and staff.
