Creating a new tradition for Schulich Medicine Orientation Week

Thursday, November 28, 2013

It was a week full of powerful realizations, exciting new experiences, new friendships and the beginning of a four-year journey toward fulfilling a dream. Schulich Medicine Orientation Week 2013 was one like no other; this year students were given the opportunity to really experience and prepare for what the next chapter in their lives will bring.

For the first time, students visited rural hospitals and clinics as part of their Orientation Week activities and had the chance to get an up-close look at what their experience in a distributed medical education environment will look like.

The Undergraduate Medical Education Department worked hard to expand and improve its Orientation Week activities to better prepare students for the years ahead, and because this year's orientation began a new tradition at Schulich Medicine, we took the opportunity to document this momentous week.
