Over 12+ Months Before Launch

General

  • Meetings with the PGME CBME Operations Team - We are excited to help you on this journey to implementing CBD. In the year prior to your launch, we will set up various meetings throughout those 12 months. See the schedule here, starting with an introductory meeting in August-September.
  • Launch Plan Checklist - 1st stage (pre-launch to first year of launch) - Here is a comprehensive resource adapted for Western programs for programs in the year before their official CBME launch. Draft submissions of your answers are required to be sent to PGME by December-January in the year prior to your launch.
  • Learn about Competence by Design (CBD) - navigate throughout this website to learn more about CBD and to familiarize yourself with key resources. 
  • Meet regularly with your local network including the PGME CBME Operations Team
  • Needs Assessment - Before you get started with your faculty development events, it's wise to understand your faculty's perceived needs and what they expect to learn. Here is a sample needs assessment to set you on the right path.
    • A template is available in Qualtrics, please email PGME if you are interested in it.

Competence Committee

  • Form a Competence Committee - Competence Committee materials can be found throughout the website on the Background page, as well as it's own list of resources and templates on the Competence Committee Materials page within Implementation
