General Information

The objective of these project courses is to provide students with an opportunity to experience, first-hand, what research is all about. Students work closely with a Biochemistry faculty member on a guided research project within their research program.

The Fall/Winter term 4985E course is restricted to students enrolled in the fourth year of an eligible Honors Specialization module. The Summer term offering of 4985E is open to students who:

  • meet the minimum course requirements for progression in the Biochemistry module; and
  • receive permission to enroll from the Department of Biochemistry.

Students enrolled in 4985E must also register in the required co-requisite course 4986Y: Beyond the Bench – Building Skills for Scientific and Professional Success.
