Strategic Planning Steering Committee Announcement

Fourteen members of the Schulich Medicine & Dentistry community will form the School’s Strategic Planning Steering Committee.

In their role they will work closely with Dr. Margaret Steele, who is leading the strategic planning process and Anne Becker of Pathways Consulting.

As Steering Committee members, they will set the tone for cooperation to ensure the strategic planning project goals are achieved; ensure key milestones are delivered and the necessary resources are in place; ensure the planning process is inclusive and open; review and collaborate findings and outcomes; provide direction and advice on recommendations and formulate decisions.

They will also champion the strategic planning process and outcomes with stakeholder groups.

The call for the Steering Committee was made in July, and 41 individual submitted letters of interest. We were very pleased with the enthusiastic interest to participate in this important work.  The goal was to form a committee with representatives from a broad range of programs from across the School. In total 14 individuals will represent their peers on the Committee. The Steering Committee will report directly to the School’s Senior Leadership Council, and to Dr. Michael J. Strong, dean.

The Committee will have its kick-off meeting in late August and will continue their work through to February 2016, with the launch of the renewed Schulich Strategic Plan in late February.  The committee includes the following members.
