Matthew Menear, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Université Laval and Researcher at the VITAM Research Centre for Sustainable Health. He is the Scientific Codirector of Réseau-1 Québec, Quebec’s primary care research and innovation network, as well as the Scientific Leader of the RCPI, a provincial centre of expertise in interprofessional collaboration. Trained in Public Health, he is a health services researcher whose research focuses on improving the person-centredness and integration of care in primary care and mental health care. Dr. Menear’s broad research interests include the quality of care and improving patients’ experiences of care, patient journeys and care pathways, models of collaborative and integrated care, the management of multimorbidity, implementation science, and learning health systems. His methods expertise includes participatory research approaches, patient-oriented methods, knowledge syntheses, and mixed-methods research.
