Melanie Dunlop, NP is the Interim Director of Nurse Practitioner Enhancement Strategies and an MRP NP with the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Service at Nova Scotia Health. She supports patients living with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other acquired brain injuries and contributes to CanStroke initiatives. Melanie leads system-level strategies to strengthen nurse practitioner integration and practice across healthcare settings. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Dalhousie University School of Nursing, where her research focuses on advancing nurse practitioner roles and interdisciplinary care in neurorehabilitation. She is thankful to be a member of the CCAPNR as a trainee and a recipient of the Electa MacLennan Scholarship and Nova Scotia Graduate Student Scholarships, which support her ongoing research endeavors. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys walking her dogs, camping, and traveling with her husband, three children, and their family pets.
