Mariana Passos de Souza, MD, MSc

Mariana Passos de Souza, MSc MD, is a graduate of the University of São Paulo, specialized in Family Medicine and with a master's in medical education. With a desire to integrate academic diversity with policy expertise, she also specialized in Public Health and Political Economy in Health in Latin America. Currently, she works as an Assistant Professor for 5th-year med students and is a Residency Preceptor for Family Medicine at the University of São Paulo.
She integrates research groups related to PHC and health systems and cartography of controversy in health care. As a collaborator with the Academic Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Policy (ANSER), works directly with current debates for PHC and sexual and reproductive rights.
Her current research interests aim to bridge the gaps between clinical practice and systemic health policy, with the goal of fostering social impact in Brazilian healthcare.
