Anaëlle is a registered nurse who has worked in primary care settings (telehealth and emergency). In 2023, she completed a master’s degree in health sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) with a research project on the impact of patients as trainers on registered nurses’ patient engagement in primary care clinics. Still motivated to contribute to nursing practice in primary care, she decided to pursue doctoral studies. She then began a PhD under the supervision of Professors Marie-Eve Poitras and Cynthia Gagnon at the Université de Sherbrooke with the goal of developing and validating a bilingual tool to assess the actual scope of practice of primary care nurses, while taking into account factors that influence practice. She also contributes to research activities as a research professional within Professor Poitras’s team and is involved in academic teaching in nursing. Her research and teaching interests include primary care, nursing education, nursing practice, equity and interprofessional collaboration.
