Dr Alissia Hui is a PhD candidate, academic general practitioner and Research Fellow at the SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence in Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health in Primary Care, at Monash University, Australia. Dr Hui has research experience in public health clinical trials and clinical experience as a general practitioner in the provision of women’s sexual and reproductive health care in Australian general practice.
Dr Hui has been awarded a National Endometriosis Clinical and Scientific Trials PhD Fellowship. Her PhD research is titled “Improving the utilisation of long-acting reversible contraception as a hormonal treatment for endometriosis in Australian primary care,” and supervised by Professor Danielle Mazza AM and Dr Sharinne Crawford. As a Research Fellow for The Endometriosis Management Plan Project, she works to develop and implement a management plan to improve the diagnosis and management of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain for clinicians and their patients in primary care.
